Pacific Lock & Key

Residential Locksmith

The everyday lock and key work Seattle homes need: house keys, rekeys after a move, deadbolts, and repairs. Bring your locks or keys to the counter and we'll handle it.

  • House keys cut while you wait
  • Rekeys after a move or a lost key
  • Deadbolt and handleset installs
  • Lock repairs and upgrades
  • Walk in, weekdays

Moving in

Rekeying belongs near the top of your move-in list. You don't know how many copies of the old keys are out there, so rekeying makes them all useless without buying new locks. We can also set every exterior door to one key.

Keys, deadbolts, and repairs

Need a spare for a partner, a sitter, or a new roommate? Bring the working key and we'll copy it. For a stronger deadbolt, a new handleset, or a lock that sticks, see our lock repair and installation work. For odd or special house keys other places couldn't cut, see key cutting.

What to bring

Bring the working key for copies, the lockset or cylinder for a rekey or repair, and the hardware or door measurements for a new install. We're a walk-in shop, so bringing it in is the fastest route.

Frequently asked questions

I just moved in. Rekey or replace?
Rekey, usually. It stops old keys from working for less than new locks, and we can set every door to one key. Replace only if a lock is worn, damaged, or you want an upgrade.
Can you copy a special house key?
Often, yes, including odd and older keys kiosks and big-box machines get wrong. Bring the working key in.
Do you come to my house?
No, we're a walk-in shop, not mobile. Bring the lockset, cylinder, or key to the counter and we'll take care of it.
